Alright,

So this is the stuff dreams are made of right? The goal. SXSW. Enter a film that gets screened.

The Problem.

Submission Deadlines for SXSW 2009 are December 12th. It’s August 12th. That gives exactly 4 months from today for the final product to be in the Can. Everything–from Casting to Shooting to Editing.

I’ve got the script, it just needs tightening.

That leaves 20 Weeks and 3 Days. OR (for the mathematically inclined) 3,432 Hours. Action.

Digg The Code Artist, Geoff Smith, has a new music video out of his song, Ones and 0s. Ones and 0s is about how people can be very hateful while leaving comments on blogs, YouTube, Digg, etc. Big props to Jonathan Davis for shooting and editing the video.

Ones and 0s by Geoff Smith from Cali Lewis on Vimeo.
My new project — Geoff Smith’s “Ones and 0s”–premiered tonight on Geekbrief.tv.

Refer to previous post for most of the info about the video–which is sparse presently–but thanks to everyone who took the time to watch it.

The song is something that really needs to be heard right now. Knock ‘em dead Geoff.

Director and Artist

Director and Artist

Nashville, TN–The shoot was the most amazing thing I have worked on as a director to date. Geoff is amazing to work with and not only that the song is beautiful. I have to say the best way to watch the video is with the lights off–Geoff’s voice just washes over you…and the visuals are kinda cool too I guess.

Special Thanks go out to–

Randy Brewer @ revolutionpictures.com — Randy owns Rev.o.lution Pictures, a production company in Nashville, TN | most notably their clientele includes none other than Carrie Underwood and Reba McEntire to name a few. Thanks for the Camera and Doorway Dolly Bro

Geoff Smith @ thegeoffsmith.com — Thanks for the awesome song and more so for the opportunity for me to work with you. I look forward to doing another video with you in the future.

Cali Lewis and Neal Campbell @ geekbrief.tv — Cali and Neal crossed paths with me @ the Abilene Christian University Film Festival last year. From there it was been a pretty wild ride, producing a few shows over Christmas time and being egged on to keep pursuing my dream of Filmmaking. So far so good? (They also helped sponsor this site for a poor college student @ ACU–for that I have no words that can describe my gratitude.)

Geoff’s Family @ Geoff’s House — Thanks for putting up with me in your space stealing your husband/father for several hours.

Thanks guys

Special Thanks–
